Hi Fau, as mankind our minds and ability to understand is finite (limited) - the Bible makes it clear 'His thoughts are not your thoughts, His ways, your ways' - in other words, we don't have or are capable of having the 'Big Picture', HE is - we all go through peaks and valleys - we're up and down in our faith/steadfastness, HE is not - always the same (yesterday, today, tomorrow) - even when a saved person drifts and doesn't feel the closeness, the Holy Spirit, who dwells within the believer will petition/pray daily to Him on your behalf - the one thing/sacrifice we are to make today (daily) is 'Praise' Him - that's the very reason we were created in the first place - you ask: who created God ?, only He will be able to answer that when we get to Heaven and we probably won't even have to ask because we will take on His mind in His presence - so, don't worry, we all have ups and downs (times when we feel closer than others), WE ARE NO LESS SAVED, HAVEING BEEN BOUGHT WITH A PRICE !! Jesus on the Cross...Hope this helps !!

YES IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND HOW GOD COULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN, MAINLY BECAUSE YOUR A HUMAN. WE HUMAN KNOW WE ARE BORN AND WE DIE. BUT GOD IS GOD HES THE BEING AND THE END, I BELIEVE WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN WELL UNDERSTAND BETTER. SO THINK IF GOD WOULD HAVE JUST POOFED UP ONE DAY, WHO MADE 'GOD POOF UP ONE DAY, AND WHO MADE THE ONE WHO MADE GOD POOF UP ONE DAY, AND YOU COULD GO ON AND ON. SO YOU SEE IT HAS TO BE GOD JUST ALWAYS WAS. REMEMBER SATAN WANTS US TO DOUBT, SO SAY SHUT UP DEVIL.

I agree completely with what has been said above, and also that Satan is a spirit, and has many spirits working for him, their main purpose is to get a Christian to doubt. We can't progress when in doubt, we loose our peace, and our joy, that is his aim.

We are to fight the good fight of faith.

We have to hold onto the progress that we have made.

Feed our faith, and our doubts will strarve to death.

It is very important what goes in our eye gates, and our ear gates.

We have to protect our heart, at all costs.

When we are under attack, stand on the promises of God.

Doubt is a spirit, rebuke it.

It comes to steal, kill and destroy, what God has designed.

The weapons of our warfare are mighty, to the pulling down of strongholds.

Anything that exalts itself over God is a stronghold, and has to be torn down.

I am glad you are thinking about these things - many people do not give their myths enough scrutiny (as evident from the fist couple of replies).

Statements like 'YES IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND HOW GOD COULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN, MAINLY BECAUSE YOUR A HUMAN' (what's with the caps?) could also be rephrased as : 'Yes, it is hard to understand how the universe could have always been, mainly because you're human' and still make just as much sense. It's the concept of infinity here that is the issue, not god.

At the end of the day, there is NO proof that a deity created the universe and make a little place for you to reside in it. It all comes down to a matter of faith - believing because you believe.

No one has ever been able to definitely show a reason why the universe requires creation without resorting to the infinite regression issue you face here. They just wave their arms in the air and say 'God was always there' without providing any evidence that this is actually the case.

What's more, such proof would be evidence of a deist god and not any one god in particular. Further evidence is required to assert Allah, Xenu, Vishnu, Baal, Zeus, Wotan, or Yahweh was responsible. Such evidence has not been forth coming because there seems to be no way to determine this. Again, it all comes down to a matter of faith.

Of course, many of the gods reportedly responsible dislike 'false gods' with extreme prejudice. 'Kill the infidel' and 'stone the unbeliever' are common phrases in popular 'holy texts'. Surely an all loving god would not advocate such behaviour? Surely an all knowing god would not create a universe where billions of people were destined for hell for the crime of not believing in him in the face of a complete lack of evidence.

Keep thinking

I think we need to really focus on the question here. As you have asked the help of Christians, and I am one, I will give you an answer.

This is what the Lord says- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
Psalm 48:17

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths strait.

I searched for a while for the perfect verses to give you comfort, and remind you that we will not understand while we are on this earth. Don't be too troubled by your confusion. Jesus himself said he spoke in parables, because not all we meant to understand.

Read Mark 9:24 - Remember, if you want the best advise, go to the source

You're confused about your religion because, honestly, it doesn't make any sense.

There's really only one way to resolve the doubt, and that is to approach your faith scientifically. Rather than trying to reaffirm it, put it to the test. If it's true, it will withstand all testing. If it isn't, you'll find out soon enough.

Isn't truth more valuable than mere belief? If you think it is, then test your beliefs.

So how do you test it? Read what critics and skeptics have to say about it.

Babe God didnt just poof! into existence lol

The reason this is hard for you to comprehend is because eternity is something the mind is able to understand you arent able to conprehend the fact of God has ALWAYS bin here.

If you want to know ask God hes your dad I would start havin alone time with him tell him you want to feel his presense. you want to feel him enter your heart

'who created god?'

in my opinion

God exists outside of the universe AND time. Therefore God may have existed ALWAYS. Don't limit God by attempting to define It in terms according to man's limited concepts and comprehensions.

'who is God? where is God?'

The answers to those two questions depend upon what religious faith you accept as valid -- and there are many to choose from!

in my opinion

1. God created/caused our spirits (entities) along with the universe to come into being. God established the purpose for it all but doesn't involve Its self in the continuance or activities of same.

2. 'Sin' is man's concept and is utilized by men to control other men. The human caused 'negative events' that take place are circumstances that are considered by us in the non-life experience between incarnations as we evaluate the successes and failures we made as we attempted to achieve our goals during our incarnations.

3. The Bible (and similar religious books) is a necessary concoction created by man to control man and his environment. It was necessary because mankind, in its infancy, did not have the medical and technological knowledge to conquer and understand its environment so had to be controlled by superstitions which were found to save lives and further the survivability of the various human societies.

Why did God make the world?

in my opinion, God diversified Itself into Its many parts and charged those parts (entities) to go forth and acquire knowledge and experience and to then return to the Oneness of God.

The entities caused the creation of the universe and everything therein and individually choose to inhabit the physical bodies.

The entities may incarnate/reincarnate many times before gravitating back into the Oneness of God.

SPECULATIONS

Speculation: 1 Is God necessary?

Yes!

There has to be a Source from which the 'big bang' sprang forth Creating the universe.

Speculation: 2 What is God?

God is the ultimate Cause.

God is the Creative Entity, Energy or Force from which all is derived.

Speculation: 3 Where is God?

God is in a state of awareness that is outside the universe.

God has morphed part of Itself into those entities (spirits) that inhabit the universe and the physical bodies within.

Speculation: 4 Why is God?

God Is because God Is.

God is eternal, existing independent of time or the universe.

Speculation: 5 Is God concerned?

No!

God is not concerned with the daily functioning of the universe or matters within it. That is our domain and subject to our whim.

Speculation: 6 What are we?

We are the spirits (entities) of God.

God morphed into Us and we continue to create according to God's purpose.

Our physical bodies are simply the means we use to experience and function in the physical dimension.

Speculation: 7 Why are we?

We are for the purpose of gaining knowledge and experience.

In the end, we gravitate back into the Oneness of God allowing for the fulfillment of God.

Speculation: 8 Evolution

Evolution is simply a tool of Creation.

The entities often influence the direction of evolution along desired paths.

From my chosen path I stray,
Yet my God any'er turns away;
For I have learned -- and understand,
That where God is -- is where I am!

the bible says to keep your faith in God. do not look to the left or to the right . in other words keep your eyes on the Lord and one thing I learned is God is faithful when we put are trust in people they are sure to let us down, for we are only human and we also let others down . God will not for he says everything works for Good to those who love God. Keep trusting. For God is Good . He's the only one who died for you.

*** 'the bible says to keep your faith in God. do not look to the left or to the right .'

Indeed it does say that. ...all the more reason for suspicion. Charlatans and used car salesmen scream 'trust me' louder than anyone else.
