Hi,

With continuous use, there is less than a 1% chance of experiencing an accidental pregnancy. This rate assumes that no shots are missed. This rate is also comparable to tubal ligation. However, Depo-Provera does not offer any protection against STIs.

If you have missed a shot, you can get pregnant.

It is possible, but highly unlikely, to get pregnant on Depo.

I had sex the same day I got my 1st depo shot ...my last period was oct.12 it is now Nov.12...did the depo take effect ..cause idid not tell the doctor I had sex a couple of hours before ...
