Can I update the video card on my dell laptop?

Ever since I installed Windows Vista, my video card has struggled to keep up. Even playing videos and movies, sometimes it skips and jarrs, when it never used to.

I know it's not a memory or space problem since I did a clean Vista install. My harddrive is over 60% empty.

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 on a Dell Inspiron 600m. Could this video card be updated in my laptop? If so, how do I know which kind to buy?

I've already contacted Dell and they were unhelpful. (No surprise there).

Unfortunately the graphics cards on laptops cannot be updated :-( Try not to run Aero. I'm not sure of the settings to turn off that part.
