Can alcohol really increase a psychic's ability?

Sorry, I know it sounds stupid. But for those of you who believe in psychics and whatnot, is it true? I mean, I was watching that movie Push and I thought it was interesting.

Alcohol works the same way for psychics as it does for regular people - it hinders abilities, it doesn't enhance it.

Narcotics are sometimes used under the pretence of this idea so as to 'ease' for want of a better term, a person's ability to perceive things beyond 'normal' reality.
However, Ichibanarky's right, of course. Drugs chemically alter one's mind, not enhancing it. The only true way to increase psychic abilities is by natural means - personally developing / honing the psychic senses by means of mental conditioning and practice.
