Can a 12 year old babysit

I have a 12 year old, a 6 year old and a 7 year old. Is my 12 year old ok to babysit.

I don't know about where you are, but here, 12 is the legal babysitting age.

If it's your own 6 and 7 year old, I'm sure it's fine, so long as your 12 year old knows all the basics about safety and how to properly deal with siblings.

I don't feel a 12 year old is a good age, they don't even want 16 year old driving with someone else

You know your kid better than anyone... There are some 12 year olds mature enough, and there's some 16 year olds who arent...
Personally, I wouldnt let a 12 year old babysit, but this isnt about what I would do...
Oh, and I'd start with short periods at first to see how it goes.

Im almost 15, and I started to babysit at 12.
it was a little scary, but I was okay after an hour. As long as you have trust in your 12 year old, your fine. and as long as they are okay with babystiting, than go ahead.
but its always cool to offer a deal like
if you babysit tonight till 10, we can go eat at your favorite reasturaunt tomorrow. little things like that. then it will make it a little more comfortable for your kid to babysit again.

yea, iif she iis babysitting your other kids or a family member. when it comes to others kids, your 12 year old should wait til 14 or 15, but who am ii to talk I've been babysitting since ii was 8, and iim 16 now...lol

Im 12 almost 13 and have an evey other day babysitting job! its up to you tho if you feel she is responsabile then yes she is ready! My mom thought I was responsabile and capible at age 10 I babysat my brither age 8 back then now 10 a lot!

as long as she is responsible and you know she is good with them then I would say so..I started babysitting when I was 11 and now I am 27 and going on my 4th child..I always loved kids..if your daughter is like this..she'll be fine...
