Buying my first guitar

I'm about to turn 16 and I want to learn the guitar I have been saving up my money to buy a used guitar from a local pawn shop
What should I look for in a good used guitar without breaking the bank or looking for change under couch cushions I know that...

I should look for one with a slender neck because I'm a female but about how wide would to be?? I don't know much about anything guitar related I have played the flute for about 3 years but it just wasn't for me I want something I can rock out to and learn to be a great as jimmy hendricks (in time of course)
I want to start out learning acoustic and then move on to electric
So what should I look for ...please help!!!

well if you want to learn fast I suggest you pay for some cheap lessons and once you get REALLY move on to electric and pay for some cheap ones for that because they are a bit different...

like how much is too much and what do I not want in a guitar what are the signs of a good or a bad guitar??

well I dont know your location, but in india, good qaulity acouistic guitar comes in nearly 3000-4000 rupees...
I would prefer to buy guitar of givson which is brand name in India...
Learning a guitar is not just matter of short time... you can learn guitar in few days but if you want to be a master than it requires lot of efforts and long practice friend!!!

And you can look all around that website for some cool electrics or some other acoustics. Theres some guitars in there that only cost 50 dollars! But most cost from about 200 to 600. It depends on what your price range is.
