That's WAY to young, if you're thinking of breeding...She should be 2 years old before breeding.

going into heat at 6 mons. of age is not saying that your pup is old enough to breed...she's still a baby...to me in my opinion, it's kinda like saying to a daughter...'.just because your on your time of the month that's it's ok to have sex...No ! Anywhere from 6 mos on. I have Boxers and I have had one female come in at 8 mos and one almost a year old. I have a Boston that never had her first heat until 2 1/2 years old.
