No, it's not a must. A bra is a bra, a corset is a corset. They are 2 different objects.

no, I've never heard of anyone doing that
a bra supports your boobs
a corset is usually just for show, but they generally also support your boobs somewhat
meaning you wont need a bra if the thing fits you properly

Some corsets have built in support, so it just really depends when you try it on
