on a bra what does the letter mean
and what does the number mean

...and obviously, they measure two quite different things.

The cup size indicates how big your boobs as such are.
The number size could simply indicate that you have massive back muscles. It doesn't specifically show how big your boobs are - only the total 'distance' all around.

susila is right, the letter (e.g. A,B) indicates your boob size, the number indicate how you measure around your body.
