Is a long period normal after starting birth control?

I started taking the birth control pill Zovia. My dr instructed me to start takin it on the first day of my period. I started taking it on Oct 7th, when i thought i started my period which turned out to be just spotting. I continued to take the pill...

everyday then i started my period on October 15th. I understand since this is the first month i started the pill my cycle is going to be out of wack. But is it normal for me to still be on my period 10 days later. I still have about a week before i start taking the non active pills (isnt that the time when im supposed to start my period anyway?)Anyone have this expierence?

i had the same thing when i started takein the pill i woz bleeding on and off for bout 3 weeks but i am now on my second cycle and i the only time i bleed if when i am on my period but last the usual mount of time. so this is nout to worry about
