Bird having trouble flying.

Shrimp Asked by imyselfandme 28 days ago, 4 answers.

I have a cockatiel and he doesn't fly much but when he does he's fine however lately (in the past few weeks) I've noticed when he flys from my shelf to his cage or whatever he'll fly the wrong way and he crashes almost everytime he flys. Is he ok? WHat do you think is causing this? How can I help it? He's also staying in his cage a lot more when I open it but I think that's because he can't fly well enough to get to his shelf and such.

Are his wings clipped? It sounds like his balance is off. If he is an important pet to you you might want to get him checked out.

I am guessing he might have somehow injured his wing/s. So I would deffinitely take him to a vet to get some x-rays done or something. Talk to you parents and tell them it's improtant to you to see if he is okay.

Good Luck! Hope your birdy is okay!
