How can i get big hair without backcombing?

I’d like my hair to be bg like it would be if I was to back comb it. Idont want to back comb it though because this ruins your hair. I have tried to spray it at the roots with lots of hairspray but my hairs to think it just flops  I know how I would...

like it; like you see some ‘emo’ boys/girls have it. I just don’t know how to get it like it. Any advice?

well, what i always do is just bend over, flip my hair over and rub reallu harrd until it feels as if you're putting knots into your hair.

well, this works for me, but i suppose it depends on what length of hair you have

put mouse in it or hairspay and shakeit about that what i do and im a tiny bit emo

I have curly hair.. so what I do is bend over , and apply mouse and blow dry with a diffuser... until its slightly damp... then i apply very generously some Aussie SPRUNCH spray... and blow dry the same way... then shake my head... and scrunch my hair.

Do ^^^ that and THEN use a good hairspray.

yea just blow dry ur hair with lots and lots of product to keep it there. Hair straighteners used properly can create stunning volume if you start from the roots and slowly twist it around while going down the hair.

it usually works better when you havent just washed it.
it is easier to get more volume .:D.

drying your hair upside down does not create volume, it just adds width, the best thing to do is not use a comb and use a brush with the brissles widely spread because it damages less and dont spray directly onto the hair, it makes it look hard and horrible, spray it and walk through it or spray onto your hands and put on your hair
