Should I ask my best friend why he doesn't care?
Send me Fun Mail
I recently decided that my best friend, who is a guy if that matters at all, has not been acting like a very good friend. He screens my calls, he never wants to hang out, and if we do make plans he always backs out. It pisses me off, so I decided to stop talking to him for a little while. It seems like I care way more about our friendship then he does because he never calls me anymore or asks me to hang out. I see him sometimes, and its awkward but like we dont have any anger towards each other. I wrote him a message on facebook explaining what was going on. I told him that I loved him because he was my best friend and that I just needed to take a breather from our friendship so I could distance myself. He never relpied to the message.
Today, I was talking to a mutual friend who told me that he said 'if she can't be friends with me right now then we never have to be friends again'.
I don't know what to do with this information. Should I ask him about it? Does he really not care about me or our friendship at all? Should I have approached the whole situation differently? I am very hurt and confused!
