***I didn't realize you are a little slow
tseirpeht, careful, careful...
your christian faith and love is showing...
Jesus loves me this I know...
for his follower says I'm slow...
I will rot in hell you say...
Christ says love but you hate gays...
chorus...
yes, Jesus loves me (but only if I am a conservative fundamentalist christian)
yes, Jesus loves me (but only if I am a conservative fundamentalist christian)
yes, Jesus loves me (but only if I am a conservative fundamentalist christian)
for a hateful, judgmental conservative fundamentalist says it's so...
As to your question...
you have to spend money to make money...
our technology needs updating...
our educational system needs updating...
our workers need to be re-educated for different jobs...
I am glad we now have a president who will tax the wealthy, instead of letting them slide...they can afford to give.
I guess I must be among the poorer working people on this site...since when is $800 to $1200 a laughable amount of money?? And maybe it IS a laughable amount when it gets spent with a credit card...however SAVING $1200 takes sacrifice at $40,000 a year...and $400 a year, when your annual salary is a measly $20,000 a year could mean skipping a couple meals, and wearing a coat inside all winter...
Maybe I'm old fashioned by having kept myself out of debt, by saving, using credit cards for emergencies only, driving used cars...and working my a** for more years than I'd like to remember...Of course that thousand bucks is only a tiny part of ALL the new collection plates about to enter arena. Frankly, I'd like to avoid dying of old age on the job...

Since 2007...I did not know that Obama was President in 2007.
How will the government afford all this spending if they are making much MUCH less then the Bush admin.?
tseirpeht , if revenues are down, it is because of the rise in unemployment, which was a direct result of republican policies.
We now have a President who will tax anybody with a buck...for anything that he can slide a tax onto...
Phrannie, care to tell us how you know this is what Obama is willing to do? Are you a mind reader?

Bend over and brace yourself.

Bend over and brace yourself.
Federal tax revenue dropped 34% since last year.
Federal income tax revenue dropped 44% since last year.
Jim Rogers: Food Prices Will Skyrocket
Obama: “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”
“whatever...
the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
Good ideas for government spending:
Giving thousands of dollars to a woman who has been dead for 20 years.
Millions to repair a bridge (in good condition) that will be destroyed to rebuild a new one.
Billions on projects that should be the states responsibility.
Thousands of dollars to control the deer population (here is an idea, get the hunters, they will do it for free)
So here is the question:
If you democrats seriously care about the unemployed Americans, then how can you support this president who is going to hurt them even more? You claim to be the party of the American people, if this is true then how can you justify hurting them even more by value added tax? THEY HAVE NO MORE MONEY LEFT TO GIVE!
