If you want hands-on help, you can look at the local art schools/universities in your area and see if there are beginner's classes that you could take for audit (ie. not credit, not enrolled in the school, just paying for the class).

I really want to learn all about photography. I need a lot of help learning about lighting,capturing beatiful aspects of people. any links to help with these things, or advice form personal knowledge would really be appreciated.
