Babys last name

Can I make up a last name for my baby? I hate my last name and I definantly don't want to give him the fathers last name...can I give him any last name?just curious dont make jokes...

well don't you go to a place where you get a form, and fill it out with your name, and your sur name? I swear... saw that on an episode of friends lol
if so, then give him a name you like. I wish my parents did that! stuck with a stupid last name now.

yes you can give him any last name...it is legal I looked it up when my little sister was born...because my parents wanted to change a lettter in her name from theobald to theobold so yes you can. you dont even have to go to court to do it just sign the birth certificate with watever last name you feel your baby is comfortable with.

Yes you can, just make sure you put it on the birth certificate.

thanks but I already have the name I want...I just wondered if it was legal to give him any name...I will probly change my last name later.
