What if a baby has blond hair and blue eyes, is it still possible that the father is Hispanic?

My friend is white, and her “baby’s daddy” is Hispanic. Both of them have brown hair, and brown eyes. Yet the baby has very blond hair, and bright blue eyes.

I don’t think the Hispanic guy is the father…what do you think?

Answer #1

I think this would be rare but maybe.

Answer #2

My boys have dirty blond hair and blue eyes, and I think they get it from my day, both me and my wife have hazel eyes.

Answer #3

Yes, its still possible due to recessive genes passed down from other relatives. If blond hair and blue eyes run in her family down the line, its possible that her baby recieved those genes and they were more dominent than the fathers.

Answer #4

But, her family is all brunettes. She is white, but I think she has Native American in her too…tan skin, dark hair and eyes.

Answer #5

Blue eyes is the lack of pigmentation. if the father is Hispanic this should change.

Answer #6

From what I have read is that a lot of babies are born with blue eyes.

Answer #7

Also it could be her other BF has blond hair and blue eyes.

Answer #8

Well, my Aunt Gina has blonde hair, naturally and she’s full blooded spanish :P

Answer #9

*TRYING SO HARD TO THINK BACK TO SCIENCE CLASS LEARNING ABOUT GENETICS* Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that genetics can do the complete opposite… Like brown hair and brown eyes on both sides of parents can BANG make a blue eyed blonde baby. Also just out of interest- there is a couple living where I live, the mother is black and the father is white, they had twin girls and one came out black and the other came out white. Like, the black one has dark, thick frizzy hair and the white one had blonde straight hair. It’s insane! And just to make things even more weirder, they recently had another set of twins and the same thing happened! Apparently both times is like a 1 on a billion chance! They are the only people in the world with 2 sets of black and white twins. Anyway, just showing that weird things can happen no matter who the parents are.

Answer #10

I agree with Mandy. When I was born I had blonde hair and grayish eyes and was very pinkish white. And both my parents have dark hair and dark eyes and tan skin.(hispanic). And the nurses thought my mom was trying to steal me because I was white with blonde hair. But all my uncles and aunts have blonde hair and green eyes.

Answer #11

Wow, that’s amazing. :O

Answer #12

did the dad have a parent or grand parent with blonde hair or blue eyes. hairr usually darkens after birth btw

Answer #13

yes it is possible b/c the hair and eye color can change. i had bright red hair and dark brown eyes when i was a baby but now i have brown hair and light hazel eyes.

Answer #14

Mandy is correct. Just because they are all brunettes does not mean they do not carry those genes. It just means that those genes are not phenotypically (or physically) expressed.

Answer #15

but both of the parents would have to have the recessive gene for those traits in order for that trait to be phenotypically expressed in their child. Not just from the mom’s side.

Answer #16

It is so amazing, and it’s not just one is darker than the other, it’s like really extreme. One is fully dark and the other is fully white!
