A baby can start eating soft, soild food at any where from 4-6 months, though they do not really need it until they are 6 months.

We started the kids in our family around 5-6 months and used the breastmilk to soften it and when they were ready for juice we used that!

what I used to do when iw as a nanny is I would mix the babies formula with a little bit of single grain baby oatmeal so that way they would stay fuller longer
