Do our accounts automatically add someone as their friend if they add you as a friend?

You can go to edit profile and click on friend management, then, click one of these:

1.Let people add me as a friend automatically

2.Let me decide who gets added as a friend and who isn't a friend

Apparently so. I've gotten quite a few friends and I didn't know it until recently. lol.
