What are tips to auditioning for a musical?

Hi. Im a freshman in high school and I am going to audition for the musical. I need a broadway song that is suitable for my age and voice type. I am a soprano 1 (that means I can sing pretty high) and I usually audition for younger roles since I have a...

young appearance. I do not know what the play is going to be yet, but I do know that it is going to be a comedy. I would like to have my song prepared as soon as I can. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks a lot! =D

For the singing, I'd try to meet with: choir director or voice coach or chorus leader to determine exactly what your range is and help with making an appropriate song selection...Go get 'em !!

Ever heard of the play Wicked? There is a great song for sopranos in it called *Popular* and it is pretty funny. I used that for the audition and won the lead role. You can get a karaoke track 4 it on iTunes. As for the monologue,
