Athiest?

Honestly I call myself an athiest but im not sure if that is truely my religion.

I dont believe in god at all. I dont believe in the bible.
I dont go to church.

So what religion do you think fits me?

Just so you know:
I bet you celebrate your birthday, Christmas, Easter, and exchange in the use of money

-Everyone has the right to celebrate the day of their birth, you don't have to believe in God for that
-Christmas and Easter were originally Pagan holidays, not Christian, and had nothing to do with God
-Money has nothing to do with God, and maybe the American currency says in God we trust, but it's still currency and is still necessary for survival, regardless of what it says - to stop using money over 4 meaningless words would be stupid and irrational.

The definition of atheist is somebody who doesn't believe in *any* higher power...agnostic is one who believes in one, but that it lacks definition or form (eg, that we all have the right idea of a god but that it's not the judeo - christian, nor other, ideal).

If you don't believe God exists, then you are an atheist, but atheism, itself, is not a religion.

Atheism is not a religion. It is the absense of belief in god. Those who believe are theists, those who don't are atheists.

Just don't call yourself anything. I don't believe in any religion, but I don't like to be labed so I don't call myself an atheist either.

Actually theism is a belief in AT LEAST one God... Monotheism is the belief in only one God...

I'm struggling with trying to define my religious beliefs as well, and I came across a rather interesting one. Google Unitarian Universalism. Some would say they're the religion that believes in everything and nothing, but I find their laid back approach to be refreshing. Members of the church include Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, Christians, Humanists, Wiccans as well as homosexuals and transgender individuals. The you church focuses on helping people discover what they believe instead of force feeding you their version of nonsense.

Atheism isn't a religion... It's the absolute opposite. If it were a religion it would be a completely contradicting idea. Atheism is the absence of belief.

DONT some to a question about atheists’ telling them not to preach
when you are preaching your beliefs
this question is about what an atheist is
its not a question inviting christians to preach there god to everyone, saying your wrong, you need to believe in it, ect
its not your JOBB to do that
and you obviously have no RESPECT for different peoples beliefs
so without respect, you will get NONE in return
celebrating things has nothing to do with NEEDING believing in a religion
your god didn’t poof money into existence
most christians aren’t even educated about there own religion
and humans did not evolve from apes
if you’ve ever bothered to read a science book, you would know that they both evolved from a common ancestor
as for me I am a proud athiest
and will also always believe that (your religion) is full of crap

...or alternately, ignore this absurd advice and just go on with life celebrating birthdays, using money, etc, but without believing in any gods
