Is anyone else an army wife?

Where are all of the army wives? We are here at Fort Hood, Texas. I am looking for other wives of soldiers all over the US. Is your soldier deployed? I should say this question is not limited to wives, but any family member of soldier. Tell me where you are stationed and if your soldier is currently overseas or home.

I'm not an army wife, I'm a marine corp girlfriend. My boyfriend and I started dating when we were seniors in high school, March 2004 (in a town you may know, Leesville, Louisiana, a mile away from Ft. Polk... Pray you don't get stationed there.) and two years later, July 2006, he decided to join the marines. So now, August 2007, three and a half years into our relationship and a year and a half into his four of enlistment, we're working (and succeeding) to keep our relationship going strong and healthy. (This separation is necessary because I'm finishing college and would probably break my mother's heart if I were to marry before I got my degree.) My one is stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, and is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in late September, early October. The only thing that makes this easier for me is the leave he'll have before he goes and when he gets back. Since he left, we've been able to see each other routinely every three months, but when he goes, we're going to deal with our longest period without seeing each other since we started dating (I won't mention our ten year friendship before our dating began.). Anyway, I enjoyed this post greatly, it's nice to commiserate with someone who knows what I'm going through, for the most part! I hope your story is lovely.
