Are teachers and student meant to be close?

I have this mate sophie and she is really obsessed with our tutor which is female. but our tutor called kate goes round her house for tea and takes he to the mall and they share chocolate in her office and kate gives her lifts home and if kate stays at school late then sophie will stay with her so she can get a lift home cus they both no that she is not allout to walk home in the dark... and sophie just wont shut up about her and we all get really anoyed by it ...what can I do...or say yo some 1...xxx

Well, sometimes it's a good thing to find comfort with an adult. Maybe she spends so much time with this teacher because she doesn't feel the same comfort at home.

The best thing that you can do is to be supportive of her and just listen. If it gets too bad just change the subject or why don't you stay after with her one of these days and see what's so good about hanging out with this teacher.

There should be no problem with her getting close with her tutor unless it starts to interfere with how she listens to the tutor's instructions. It can be very hard when you becomes friends with someone for them to tell you what to do. Everyone needs someone to look up to and have as a good role model. If she is bothering you with her constant talking about her then ask her not to talk about her so much...it's a simple request.

Im close to a teacher but not like that...

I tmay just be her hormones or just a stage shes going through...it could just be innocent and that she is just close to this teacher.
