are semi-sweet chocolate chips vegan? I was reading that you can eat them ifyou're a vegan. but on the package it says "dairy in here"

Of course milk chocolate isn't vegan (has milk in it).

Some dark and bittersweet chocolates do contain dairy so you have to check the label.
