I have a cat and I heard rumors that the dry food IAMS aren't healthy for cats. Is this true? If so, what food should I buy?

My cat will only eat the little cans of soft food. The ones with the pop top. They are only like 25 cents each, and the vet says they are great for her. I don't know about the dry food much. I do know that IAMS is a great brand.

Vets seem to sell it, so it can't be unhealthy. My cat eats tinned food because I'm too stingy to go for any of the expensive diets...

they have "dry food" as their main food and "wet food" as an occasional treat.
Iams seems a good brand.
