How do you find out if the government is paying off its debt?

Do you think they really want to payit off or will just ignore the debt?

I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to pay off debt, but sometimes there are bigger priorities, I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

Since the national debt is rising by the minute, we obviously are not paying it off. And I don't see any change in that for the next couple of years. At least till we get out of this economic downturn.
