What to do on our first new year's together?

O.K, this new years will be our first new years together (my boyfriend & I). Every year I travel back to Jamaica to spend it with my family, this year I am not going back home to Jamaica.
Any who, I was wondering if you have any ideas of what we could do? I wanted to do something to surprise him, something special that he'll never forget?
What are some ideas?

Go find a romantic place, and take a warm picnic with you and watch the sunset... bring a radio and hear the countdown. When the ball drops...kiss him. Then drive/walk back and tell each other your New Years Resolutions. Romantic Enough?
