yeah - free rent for a start, I would also notate and photograph everything for future reference.
repairs- I would have him repair and replace everything that is not up to par with you.
and as mrscobainx3 said- bug bomb- this is going to probably put you out of your apartment for a little while, maybe have this guy pay for a hotel room while all of this is going on.
PHOTOGRAPH EVERYTHING!!!
Atleast something off of your rent and insect treatment (not just one time). Ronnie said he would be throwing a fit. That is crap and it is irresponsible of them to not have that ready for you knowing you have a small child. I would be pissed off for sure! And the cabinet thing come on now. Replace them or have a professional re-do them.
Good luck girly

Any fair ideas on what to ask for in return?
I transfered into a bigger unit in my complex. They forgot the unit was about to be occupied until I called to remind them a day before. They asked if I could move in a week later. I said no. They scrambled to make it somewhat presentable, and fell...
WAY short. The windows were cleaned, base boards dusted, light fixtures (that I bought) installed, and walls were painted. Everything else was filthy. There is a magic marker drawing of a playboy bunny on my cabinets. And this place is infested with fleas. I could go on and on. The manager is supposed to be in tomorrow for me to complain. What all should I ask for to make me happy after this nightmare move?
