Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Because you said you are tall, I’m assuming that you may be a little underweight. Check out your stats on the weight charts below.

How to GAIN weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier.

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years.

BMI Classification

18.5 or less Underweight

25 to 29.99 Overweight
30 to 34.99 Obesity (Class 1)
35 to 39.99 Obesity (Class 2)

Check out your BMI at the bmi calculator site below to see where you stand.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Answer #2

It all depends on your height and your bone structure. As long as you are not starving and FEEL healthy, you are fine. So just relax. A normal 14 year old girl should be between 100 and 120 pounds, depending on her height. For your age, and since you said you’re very tall, you’re probably underweight. As long as you feel healthy though it shouldnt be a problem. Make sure you eat the right amount, eat healthy, and continue exercising to keep your cardiovascular system (your heart) healthy. If you ever feel sick because you gain too much, or lose too much weight, fix it. As long as you feel good, dont worry. You’re fine.
