Is it wrong to want to talk to my ex?

I have been with my b/f for almost 4 years now and we are engaged to be married next spring. my problem is although I know that I am truely inlove with my b/f and I dont know what I would ever do if I lost him. I cant help but want to talk and have long conversations with an ex. I think its inocent to just want to talk and be friends but I know my b/f would be very upset if he found out I was speaking to this other guy. im I wrong for not telling him to keep him from getting upset over nothing. even if we are only friends?

I think you should still talk to your ex if you guys are good friend. I do not think that you should let a good friendship go to waste due to someone elses jelousy. I think you should talk to your boyfriend and reassure him that he is only a good friend of yours and that he should understand that you simply do not want to lose him as a friend. As long as it is nothing more than a friendship you should talk to your boyfriend about it. Even if you guys just talk, do not hide it from your boyfriend! If he found out I am sure he would assume that you guys are doing more than just talking!

If you two are just friends I cannot imagine why your boyfriend would have a problem with it unless he is a jealous control freak who thinks you are his property..

I think you should tell your boyfriend. but let him know that your just talking like friends talk and that its nothing serious

Put yourself in your fiances shoes. What if he had the urge to want to have long conversations with his ex girlfriend? Even though you and your ex are just friends, you still had a thing for one another. Whos to say that by spending time together (even if it is in conversation) that you wont start having feelings again for him. I dont know yours and your ex's reason for your relationship dissolving, but in my opinion..you need to think about your fiances feelings here. An ex means the past. Kind of strange though that you feel this need to want to talk to him, and bring him back into your life, especially now that you are engaged to be married! If you truly are in love with your fiance, then you would keep your ex where he belongs..in the past!!
