first of all, NEVER SAY NEVER!!! If you really have a will and passion for it, the only person stopping you is you!!! As far as the not being so good part, you may want to take some more classes, and I promise, even if you don't become amazing, you will definetly improve!!! Consider other types of acting as well just to get experience, such as improve, dramatic, comedic, etc. Also, you don't have to be famous to follow your dreams. Look into local theater when you get back from college that you can do on the side of your work/school. However, for this week, I highly recomend studying!! You need to do well in college to get anywhere in life, not just acting!!! Try to concentrate on the task at hand, and worry about the long term a little later!!! Best of luck to you and feel free to fun mail me anytime!!! Hope this helped!
Yea, you're right. I just need to have the passion to really want to do it. There isn't any specific kind of acting I'd like to go into. I mean, I do joke around a lot and I find many things funny, so perhaps comedy but also, you're right, I don't have to become famous or anything; although that would be awesome, lol.
And I'm not aware of any local theaters by me (again, I never really got into it... not cause I thought it would make me a fruitcake, I have the highest respect for people who act in front of hundreds... sh*t, I can't even act in front of three people, ahahaha), but I'll certainly look around. I appreciate your help and words of encouragement. : )

Is acting for me or not?
I took a film class this semester in college and, although I did not want to, I ended up acting in every one of my class' three film projects (I'm very self-conscious, not as much as a used to be thankfully). And I completely sucked at acting in every...
one of the films. However, for some reason I am really drawn to acting (I'm not even sure why). Now, instead of studying for my finals which are this week, I've been browsing the net on stuff about acting (I lose concentration on the task at hand pretty often when it comes to school work, lol) and figured I should read up on guides such as Method Acting Reconsidered by David Krasner, just to get an idea of acting (and I'm sure there are other books I could look at). I was also considering taking an acting class, if my college provides one (which I think it does), to see if I like it and if I'm good at it.
My problem is that I feel that I suck at acting (I've never acted a day in my life up until this semester. I've never done school plays and I've never been interested in being an actor until now). Also, like I mentioned earlier, I get self-conscious about how other people perceive me. Is there anyway to break away from this psychological deficiency (if one would call it that) and is it plausible to become an actor even if I'm 20 and can't even act in a silent film??? Thanks!
Any suggestive readings would be appreciated as well, unless you guys feel that there is no way in hell I'm becoming an actor...
