What do you look for in a hairstylist?

Asked by kkssbbmm123 over 2 years ago, 1 answer.

I am a hairstylist and I always try to provide my clients with the best services I possibly can. I was just wondering what others consider in a good hairstylist?

A stylist that is REALLY interested in making sure that I have completely conveyed what type of style I want. A stylist who is honest and will ask me if I'm POSITIVE on the hair style and give me reasons why it may not suit me the best. IE, wrong facial structure, too hard to manage with hair type. And I also love when a stylist wants to show me how I can do my hair in an easy way every morning (that doesn't take forever!)

I usually go to my stylist very prepared and I usually have researched the style I want and bring tons of pictures. but some people don't. I think it's good to keep magazines and hairstyle examples around. I go to my friend who is a stylist and she's VERY honest with me. Which I love. (i went from mid back length hair to a very short hairstyle and it took me forever to convince her that I wouldn't be mad afterwards, it was quite the contrary... the style rocked)
