2 dogs and a new

I have 2 girls dogs one is 3 and one is 11 and today I got a new one he is a 5 year old . my youngest dog madison sniff him a little bit and they seem alright but my oldest dog she seems to hate him what should I do???

you should have taken the other dogs to see the new one before you adopted it… now you just need to attempt to make then comfortable with each other.

You give the situation time…What did your older dog do? Growl? Ignore? Neither of these mean she hates him, she’s just letting him know who’s top dog…the great part is he KNOWS what she’s saying, even if you don’t.

P is giving you good advice.

I have found that your dogs will do pretty much what you expect of them. What I mean by this is if the behavior is unacceptable let your dog know.

I always give (with a watchful eye) a few days to let the dogs sniff and get to know each other. This is with supervision. I make sure no fights break out and no one is going to get nipped. I allow sniffing and some growling etc. all the stuff that is establishing boundaries, use your judgment as to what is good safe for the dogs or normal doggy behavior.

Always of course show equal attention to all your pets.
