1st date advise; guy's answers appreciated

I'm about to go on my first date with this guy tomorrow. I am 22 but have only really had a few dates and none of them went real well. Can some guys post some do's and dont's for me, please?

The guy I am going out with is 27 and he's invited me out...

to a museum, and lunch afterwards. He's shy like me and is already saying he's afraid he's going to say something stupid or I'll hate him. LOL so I guess he's pretty shy as well.

But any tips, dos and dont's would be very helpful. Girls feel free to weigh in, too, if you have some helpful hints, I guess. Thank you very much.

Make a list of conversation topics
Read a newspaper before the date
Compliment her when you meet him!
Before you go to sleep, envision what you will be wearing and how the date will go.
Be positive and talkative, even if you are shy! Try to find a topic you both enjoy early on in the date so you hit it off immediately.
