Should she be allowed to sail around the world?

basiclly,this dutch girl wants to sail solo around the world,which would take two years to sail,her parents want her to do it,but the dutch authorities won't let her,should she be allowed?

No, there are so many things that could go wrong, and I am surprised that her parents are so willing... there is always the chance that there could be an accident, and they will never see her again.

I think that she is too young personally... bit of a stupid idea... alone.

She's 13...allowing her to do such a thing would be reckless and stupid.

I can't believe her parents are so accepting of it - that's child endangerment.

Uhm ok, so assuming that there are any parents in this world who would allow their minor child to go sailing around the world (highly doubtful), who would be stupid enough to rent a boat to the child, or provide insurance if the boat was fully paid for?
