11 year old, had the talk, she wants a boyfriend

My 11 year old passed notes with a boy in class about sex, seamen and meeting in the bathroom after school. I told her she is not allowed to talk to him and she is too young for sex or to have a boyfriend. She went behind our back and had a friend ask...

him if he wanted her to be his girlfriend. WTF do I do?

Teach her about sex; pregnancy, STD's, etc. explain to her how these things will effect the rest of her life. Give her this website:

Talk to her about birth control and everything, this is your best shot.

She's 11 - especially for girls they're very vulnerable at that age especially when it comes to boys. She has a kiddy crush on this boy, and will probably continue contact with him no matter what you say. Personally I think you should be more focused on teaching her about sex before boyfriends, because it would do the most damage. Explain to her that boys can be very misleading, and tell her if any boy (or even girl) ever does anything to her against her will she needs to come and talk to you right away.

If you take the wrong approach and punish her, she's not going to come to you if something DOES happen (abuse, rape, etc.)

educate her about sex
she alreday knows what it is, but she knows nothing about it
and when kids are young they often dont think about or understand any of the consequences that are invloved with sex
so theyll just go off, do it, then get pregnant and have a lot more problems
so teach her about as well as a male and female reproductive system
birth control, contraception, pregnancy and sti/stds
because the main reason why kids and teens get pregnant and get stds
is because of a lack of sex education

I big time agree w/ stef. I mean its around this time boys and girls dont have cooties anymore so they become attracted to each other. sex bad. boyfriend...not so much...I mean I had a boyfriend in 4th grade and all we did was talk and pass notes about kid suff. so thats prob all that will do
