Thanks Cindy! How is everyone today? My pups are sooo hot with this heat outside. It's in the mid-90s everyday, and they *love* to walk in the afternoon, for some reason. So we end up coming inside after 20 minutes of sweating and pooping (them, not me) and then they lay on the tile panting for an hour. poor little things. Even little Mila, who never pants, was panting today! |

sometimes the pain occurs as lower abdominal pain not back pain. but you are wise to encourage him to see a urologist. |

My husband has had those and they say kidney stones are the closes thing a man will exper. to child birth. I hope he gets well soon. I would get him to a specialist. Just to make sure. Some of those men in Texas that belong to that occult having those women bare so many children, should have had to bare those childres. Hehee. There would never have been so many kids born to one woman. May the good Lord bless them with lots of kidney stones God will send (the men) them back as women in a poor country that has many children. I think the are just as qulity in this day in age. They could have grab their babies and ran like the devil was after them (and he was) |

For some reason, they always make me think of 'little people'......I don't know why. I had a friend who had two of the 'nekkid' kind.....I didn't find them so appealing.....something about that hot smooth skin, was kinda creepy.....but they sure were sweet.... p |

OWIE!! Poor boyfriend!! One of my friends had one.....and he was a real 'tough guy'......it had him on his knees! That Dr. wouldn't have filled me with confidence, that's for sure......what kind of an answer is that?? Like I'd be sayin'.....'could you be more specific??' Good for you to send him to a specialist......there are ways to control getting kidney stones, if a person is prone to getting them....besides.....if he has any others, they can 'vibrate' them down to miniscule with ultra-sound, and save your poor guy all that pain. Italian Greyhounds have also been on my list of possible small dogs (for my future)....I saw a Cesar episode with one, and OMG she was sooooo sweet! Ya know what other small breed I like.....this will seem unlikely, but I really like those Powder Puff Cresteds.....LOL........I know......I know.....it's wierd.... p |

Aw adorable Andre. The kids and the pup (and the Mom, too!, she is gorgeous). I spent most of today in the ER with my boyfriend. He has been having severe nausea, stomach pain in the lower left tummy area, and a fever for days and days. We finally went to the ER and after....7 hours waiting to be seen, the Doctor confirmed that he had a kidney stone but it has since passed...he had a horrible bedside manner. I asked him 'oh so if it has passed..how do you know it was there?' and he said 'because it's not there now'. So I am unsatisfied. I'm making him see a urologist this week. Has anyone experienced kidney stones? Icky now I want to wash the ER feeling off me. Some crazies out tonight! I did spend 20 minutes talking to the nurse about her Italian Greyhound Hope everyone has a good night |

Here's the new baby. Isn't he cute. he weighed 10 lbs 3 oz. wow. A Slugger Andrew want's to take Gabe bowling already Phrannie I am with you on that work, work. I have planted the garden and painted the living the my feet hurt. My back hurts. The living roon looks great. My brother helped me and Hubby some. Yard is looking good. Oh wow Shelter has 45 animals still not claimed After the storms last week We have a lot of pets that are not getting picked up after the tornados hit. 21 people died. I guess you should get a bone density test before you ride but I would have never thought of it. We all live in such an educated fearful time now. Meaning sometimes we know so much it takes all the fun away from our lives. Go ride that horse. :D |

Gawd, Andre......What a great picture!! Cute kiddies....cute pupper! I don't know a thing about the standards for BT's, so she looks just fine to me The last 4 days have been sunny, and in the 80's.....but will be dropping back to the 50's by Tuesday.....I've been on a tractor from 7 am till 3 pm, for the last 3 days, spraying my pastures, and a couple of neighbor's pastures....the only breaks are to play with MoJo, because when I'm spraying, he has to stay in the house.....He hasn't been getting what he needs, exercise wise, so he's whiny and basically obnoxious.....so with tomorrow being the last of the good weather this week, I'm going to get up and take him swimming......THEN, I'm going to take the first spring ride on Waylon.....(I can't believe my girlfriend told me I shouldn't ride till I have bone density test.....say what??..... Hope everyone had a good weekend..... p |

Got a new baby (human baby) in the family today. 9 lbs 8 ozs. Part of the extended family. One of my ex-daughter-in-laws. Was raised by a mean but now deceased grandmother. She and her mother can not bond especially states away like this. Liz and my son are divorced and she now has a new man and baby. But Liz insist I am her Mom and we (my daughter and I) are her family. So it is kind of an awkward situation today. Me being really the ex-husbands Mom. But I will always be Andrew's (her first son) grandmother. I have had Andrew with me every M-F since he was 12 weeks old. Liz goes to work at 3:00am so she comes into the house and puts Andrew to bed at my house and that is where he has woke up for almost 5 years now. Liz also moved here from Queens NY to Missouri, she never drove a car. at 21 my husband and I taught her to drive. For a year and a half (I didn't talk to my son) when he left the baby (Andrew) and Liz I drove Liz to and from work until she got her license and finally a car. Oh well enough of my family. Lane and Andrew are 4 months apart. I have babysat thses two grandson since their Moms first returned to work. They are my 'Family Dog Socializer' I can not tell you how much time these tow and I have spent with pups and dogs and Vets together. We have even made trips to ariports together early in the mornings. Andrew is the one on the right. Alice is the one in the middle. Isn't she an unusal looking Boston Terrier. My husband and I got her and two of her sister's from a breeder that wouldn't let use come to his place. I meant to get 1 and ended up with 3 because they were very unsocialized puppies and I was worried about them. Alice is still an odd cookie. Bud and I joke that is is half Chihuahua. She will be a year old in July she is registered. I have seen some pictures of Bostons on the internet that look tiny and thin like her but I really wonder. Oh her ears stand straight up and have since she was 6 weeks old. She is pulling them down right now. That is another thing, most Boston's ear perk later. She is a beauty though. She is my baby. She is a very quite dog. and her sisters where too. Oh I found homes for her sisters. |

Tomorrow will be the second anniversary of losing our RubyAnne.....'pound puppy SUPREME'.....smart, sweet, kind to children and old people.......and happy 100% of the time.....(she was a combination of a couple of those 'BAD' breeds....Rottie/Pit/Lab...like to disolve people with kisses!! I still miss her.....I still miss all my old babies......It's funny, I never think of them completely as individual dogs, but more like siblings.....Ruby was the happy girl, Tosha was like a sister, Ike was my total love, Nookie was the intellectual, littly Molly is the kind-hearted yet independent girl, Moj is the typical youngest child.....like that, ya know? Each one with their own special quality.... Look at those wise, sweet eyes.....she was 6 or 7 in that pic...and her partner, Ike with his kitten, David... Just a mushy moment. p |

Andre, you and I come from the old school.....we believe and work hard on using the 'ripple effect'......It's a fact, that every one of my sisters, neighbors, friends, and aquaintences...their friends and aquaintences....know, that I will kick in, to get dogs neutered or spayed....will take in and place unwanted dogs...give the third degree to those who I don't know personally, if they happen to want one of these dogs. My one neighbor and I took in a stray cat, who looked to be on his last leg......that will be two years in August......so far we've split his vet bills, I've bought his food, and they actually put a pet entrance into their shop door, so he can come and go as he pleases.... I've had every kid in the neighbor hood, for the last 18 years, learning how to do obedience with their own dogs.....some more successful than others, but they all know 'who' to go to, if there is a problem. These are just the things I do locally.....but I also kick in a hell of lot money for GSEtc Rescue out of W. Virginia, and sponser dogs across the US when a dog in need catches someone's eye in our MSN group. Since this is such a small place, there's more that I can do with money, than I can in any other way. But still, it's ripple......I've had 30 years here to build my credibility.....and if they get the County Shelter into a shape so I can stand to enter their doors, I'll volunteer to baby step some adoptees into being good citizens ( this is where all my admiration for Dara and Cindy comes......I absolutely COULD NOT leave a dog I know is a good dog in a bad place....I just don't have what it takes for that.).....You guys have way more guts than I do, in that respect..... Still......ripple effect.....like dropping a stone into a pond.....just because I can't 'see' the last ripple....doesn't mean it's not there. p |

amoeba and editior. I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings. I may be bashing the heads of the wrong people in my frustration of the whole picture. I am not really meaning to point a finger at you, but a system you believe in . I like, phrannie am also frustrated that not enough people are looking at this whole picture in this country and they aren't paying attention and many times don't even know these new laws taking effect are happening. Those people are to busy with other things. I think these issues for us dog lovers are much like 'The Abortion Issue', 'Same Sex Marriages' and in my day 'Equal and Civil Rights'. They are passionate and heated, heart felt issues. Never getting all the people, to see the same side of the issue. I feel that some may not realize what Phrannie and I are also trying to point out along the lines of the government taking over every facet of our lives and the fear that it strikes in those of us that understand what lies under that blanket I applaude your efforts amoeba. I have always applauded Dara. I am sorry if this has gotten out of control. I am not knocking your hard work. I am trying to point out the faults of a system I think is getting out of control. I know you and Dara are doing what you think is the right thing to do. I think Dara is right we should all agree that we disagree on this subject. BUT the one thing I know we have in common is that we all passionately love animals, especially Dogs. Oops I love my cats too. And horses etc We all have more in common than we realize and would most likely be great friends in person too. Maybe we do need to air our dirty lanudry (meaning our feelings) here sometimes. Maybe this is/was an outlet for all of us to let off some steam about our frustrations we feel about the mis-treatment of those 4 legged fur creatures we love so much. Oh FYI I neuter my adopted dogs (the ones I train for homes) before they go to their new homes. I never sell my puppies or dogs to kennel or as breed dogs. Maybe that will help some in your feelings about me. But maybe that makes me a hipocrite too, because I still love to breed my dogs and raise my puppies. I do question myself too, so take some comfort in knowing that I think deeply about what you say. I read every word. I am listening to your points and questioning as maybe you are mine. Have a great Saturday. I am reading a great new book called the Adopted Dog. I will get the authors name later. Going to look at some new flooring better suited for the dogs I am working with. Hey I do donate to the shelter, I do it for the dogs. I would take some of those dogs you are talking about ameoba. The dogs I am trying to tell you about that I get from the kennels and turn them into pets are older dogs. 1 1/2 to 3 years of age. I got one that was 7 but she passed on. But she had become a wonderful house dog, no longer someone's caged dog. I guess I need to watch my words here because I know I am not talking about real old and blind dogs. The new Bichon girl I just got is lame and will need spay and Vet care. I also adopted Dotty an ancient Persian with rotten teeth and all her hair shaved off. So see there are some people that want the older dogs. Change your mind set (I mean that kindly) I find all the older kennel dogs I take in homes when they are ready to go to them. People do want a older already house trained house pet. The reason that I always put a price on my dogs is one to put them into better homes. Two to continue bringing in a couple of my kennel adoptees once a year. And three to feed and take the new ones to the vet. Oh well big hugs and I hope we can lick our wounds from this debate and remain friends maybe closer friends than we were before. Ooops I was on the computer too long looks like no knew flooring for me today. I will show you a picture when I can find it of King when I first got him. I normally don't take pictures of them at first because I don't like to remember them as they were. |

She got really excited when I knew they were 'like a mini greyhound' lol.
