What to write about in my short story (read more)?

Im writing a short story for english. its a kids book about a purple dinosaur named Calvin, and his bestfriend sandy who go on a walk in a forest. they get lost and end up somewhere.

Now i was planning on making them come across a magical fruit tree and they would eat the fruit and something would happen. My friend suggested it be a rainbow fruit tree, and when they eat it they breathe rainbows? lool!

Or i was thinking that they eat it and become like super big. or maybe they dont even find a tree, maybe they find a path like up into the clouds and meet a giant. LOL. Any suggestions?

Sounds like an acid trip. I think you are doing a good job, I mean, who could think of stuff like that?

Answer #2

depends what tou want out of it, if you want to teach children to not pick up random berries or fruit they come across make one of them eat it and get “the rainbow pox” which makes the dinosaur not feel very well and learn that it is not ok to eat whatever you just come across. His friend Sandy would have warned him OR she saw he got sick and did nto eat the fruit and the rest of the adventure or more so could be finding a way to make his tummy feel better. Which in turn could be his mother or a doctor.

Answer #3

They eat it and change places, The dinosaur becomes Sandy and Sandy becomes the dinosaur.

In the beginning of the story, you may get them blaming and judging eachother all the time. However, when they change places, they become like tolerant XD

Answer #4

that fruit of wisdom remind them that the are far away from home and help them remember the way to return back to base
