Is it worth it to get on birth control to stop your period if it has many side effects(List in description)?

Please know that the list of side effects are those that affect many, many people. What affects YOU can only be determined by YOU trying the birth control. And if one type of pill has some given effects, the next one you try may not. I notice that one side effect of birth control pills you did NOT list was breast enlargement - which is a side effect of SOME pills for SOME women.

In any event, work with your doctor to find the pill that will do what you need. And if there is any chance of your becoming sexually active, please start the pill before you chance any pregnancy.

The confusing part of your question is “to STOP your period”.
