How should I word this letter?

My godfather and his wife have just recently moved from India to Ireland. When they got to Ireland my godfather left his wife and moved in with his parents. Now his wife is not an Irish citzen but she wants to stay in Ireland. So me and my parents said that we would write letters of support for her. As I am her partners goddaughter i think it would help, and she agrees. But I don’t know how to write this letter so that it could stand in a Court of Law. Can anyone help?

To be brutally honest, I don’t think simple letters of support are going to be enough to keep her in the country … she would need to be there on a family visa, and seeing as she is the [ex] wife of your godfather, that doesn’t make her relationship with you a genuine family relationship. She needs to have a blood relation or spouse living in Ireland to sponsor her and it doesn’t sound like hubby plans to help.

What ever happened with your godfather’s ex? Was she able to stay?

Hey, Hayyim! Good news, a few months ago she got her visa and she got a job and now she’s looking for a more permanent place to stay, she’s doing amazingly and we are so proud of her. She’s also started divorce proceedings in India because the law swings more in her favor there, Ireland has a policy of no-blame divorces and unfortunately my ex-godfather is a greedy man. By divorcing him in India he will not be able to get as much of her money :)

Yeah, it’s nice to be back for a while, for some reason i randomly started to get emails FA again, don’t know why haha! And im not really upset about my ex-godfather anymore. At first i was a little bit sad, but i think it was becasue when i was younger i put him up on a pedestal and now i realize how much he let me down. But I believe that you make your own families so i have more than enough people to replace him :)

Yeah, I came back kind of randomly, too, a few weeks ago. Didn’t even get any FA emails, lol, just felt like being back in touch with my friends here - like you, for instance!.

Yeah, same for me! I got a funmail the other day from Merlin so i was like, better see what’s happening! haha
