Friend is dating somebody online, what do you people think?

Ok so my friend has been dating this kid online and she has his myspace and everything and she has texted him and she really loves him and he does too but the prob is that they each live 4 hours away from eachother and they never seen each other in real life…I think its weird..what do you people think??

Shes only fallen for his words, and who she imagines him to be in her own mind. (Not very realistic) I have never understood how anyone can say they love someone they’ve never even seen/met.

Is she even certain he is who she thinks he is?

What if he’s some old, hairy, gross, has hair coming out of his nose and ears, guy using pictures of his handsome next door neighbor and saying it’s him.

Get someone that can protect you in danger, and take your friend to meet him in a public place. Let her see if she really loves him and vice versa.

well I think if you love someone who care if you live 4 hours away or 100hours away I think if you someone I think go for it nothing can stop your friend of loving the guy :)

Ha! I think it’s weird. To fall in love with someone or “their words” and to have never met them is weird…desperate maybe? I don’t get it…never have really. Sounds to me like they’re in some kind of fantasy world. hahaha

Well, it’s not weird, but it can be a big time waster. I know it from personal experience. I still use dating at MySpace, Facebook and online dating websites, but I tend to keep small talk as short as possible. I would find a possible date and try to meet in person ASAP.
