In general yes. There are places where it is frowned upon. I remember when my daughter was little and at a mall play area and wanted to nurse. My wife covered up as much as she could and discretely nursed in a corner. A cop came bay and sternly told my wife that she couldn't do that here because it was a family area. I wish it occurred to me to say that nursing is a family activity but we just left. I've since learned that there are "lactivists" that have nurse ins at places that do not allow mothers to nurse. I say yes but keep in mind there are still some unenlightened individuals who think that nursing is inappropriate.
I dont understand why half naked women in ad's in public are totally okay but a woman covering up and breastfeeding in public is frowned upon. It's disgusting to me the double standards. I think breastfeeding is beautiful and natural and should be accepted. Those who dont like it can look away.
I don't see a problem with it the babys gotta eat to... And no one in public sees her boobs so why they care lol my sister would cause wed go to the zoo and that Place is huge so shed feed him in the park cuz walkig back to the car was to far.
Sadly it goes even beyond breastfeeding in public. I have heard many young mothers or mothers to be say "NO WAY I'm breastfeeding, my child is getting formula." So is there any wonder that such a huge part of society thinks doesn't accept it?
I think it's fine, especially if you're covered up. In some areas it's totally okay, but here in America it usually isn't. My mom told me that when she was on a plane she was breast feeding me and she got a lot of dirty looks from people.
Honestly, I think it is in most places but if you do it in public i think you can get a blanket that fits snugly around you and the baby while he/she feeds :) My sister-in-law has one and it covers everything! :D
If it's decent it's ok, we however had a women in public, no attempt to cover up, the baby was basically hanging from her breast, breastfeeding during my graduation. I'm for some reason not really ok with that.
Women are allowed to breastfeed any place they want here in Ohio. I see quite a bit of it in places like the mall, the zoo, the beach, etc.
Yes. She can. And she should. It's natural.
People who have a problem with that should shut up and look the other way.
Ofcourse you can! It something natural, plus usually mothers have a blanket to cover with. Its not a big deal.
im sure they probably can...., im not sure though. if they cover up maybe, but i wouldnt recommend it.
