Why is This happening for no reason?

ok I’ve been with this guy for 5 months and everything was great or so I thought so, it was feb 19 and was the last time I talkedd to him. we were on the phone and everything was ok I told him “I heart you” and he told me back+we tell eachother this because we hadnt got to love yet+ he told me that he wud see me in the morning and we would spend the day together… ok the next morning never came and I blew up his phone for about a week with no answer or anything so I finally gave up its going on three weeks since I’ve talked to him and last night I decided to call cause I hadnt in a while, no one answered but his voicemail was different, instead of saying welcome to the sprint pcs vioce mail box of… it just said the number. so I left a message then sent a text asking if he cud call me back, well about 5 min later I get a text from him saying “ Love you” I tried calling back but he turned off the phone untill this morning when I called again it was back on but still no answer>>> I dont get it. does anyone have a clue whats going on??? I mean I love him and I don’t understand why this is happening, why did he tell me that then turn off his phone? I mean the last time we were still talking and everyhting was normal I HAD TOLD HIM THAT IF HE DIDNT WANT TO BE WITH ME TO LEAVE ME BUT HE TOLD ME THAT WASNT A OPTION, AND THAT WEEK HE WAS ASKING ME WHY DIDNT WE HAVE A SONG AND TOLD ME HE WAS LOOKING FOR ONE. I feel in my heart that something is wrong like something is happening in his life that he don’t want me to know or get hurt…he was having problems because of court beccause his best friend was killed and the people that did it are going to be in jail a very long time, and the peoples friends that did it are not too happy about that and want to hurt him and his family now but I dont think that has anything to do with him just randamoly dropping off the face of the earth. because he cud have least told me that he cudnt see me any more.I just hurts a lot and is more than confusing but I want just let go…your OPINION MATTERS CAN you PLEASE GIVE YOUR ADVICE EXPESIALLY GUYS???
