Why is my belly piercing bleeding?

Me and a friend got our bellys pierced about 2months ago now and we did as we were asked to clean it. My friend has had no problems with her belly; no infections; no reactions; its been perfect. I had an infection with mine, but thats sorted now.

The other night I was cleaning it and as I cleaned the top of the bar the top hole started bleeding a little bit. It wasnt proper blood; it was liquidy blood; but im worried, whats going on, is this anything series?

well when I had my infection, I went back to the piercer who did it for me and she suggested that I might be allergic to the bar. my mums a nurse but not an expert in this kinda thing and she got me some tcp to clean my belly. I was cleaning it with that, and when I put a cotton bud over it some blood was on the cotton bud. apart from my ears this is my first piercing in a long time, and I got my tragus done shortly after and thats doing my head in aswell. underneath the bar in the inside of my ear there was a little bobble, and when my mum was cleaning the tragus for me it popped; and it was just blood in there, I was thinking that I might be allergic to the bars that my piercer uses as I’ve had problem with both of my piercings, and id like another but not if its gunna be all this hassel

My friends and I got our belly buttons pierced a few years ago and one of my friend’s wouldn’t stop bleeding after an hour. We just put tissues on it and it eventually stopped bleeding and it’s absolutely fine now. I think it’s a piercing and you’ve just cut a hole into your skin, of course it’s probably normal for it to bleed a bit, it also depends on your body type. My friends a bleeder, so hers bleed A LOT after getting it pierced, but after it healed, it was all good. After I got mine done it also bleed a little, not a lot, but when I was cleaning it or moved it around too much, it’d just get a little bit of blood in the hole. I think after it’s healed it should be fine, dont worry about it and just try to keep it as clean as possible. Try using an antiseptic that fight infections every now and again, just to prevent it from getting infected again. Thats what I did because the spray I was given was just to sooth the area, not to help against infection. I’ve never had any problems with mine, so I think it worked really well. I’ve done this with all my piercings and I’ve never had any proper infections =D I use Betadine, it’s GREAT for pretty much EVERYTHInG =D hope this helped xoxox

you may be allergic to the jewlry you put in it. That happened to my sister (the bleeding and infection) she got a a sencitive ring for it and it eventually stopped bleeding and getting infections. so I would reccomend getting a sencitive ring for it. :)

Um, I’ve had my belly piercing for almost 3 months now. That never happened to me, but if its blood, me I never had blood, I would get it checked out by a doctor, they would know what to do. What are you cleaning it with? I use salt water which is good enough to clean. Soap can cause irritation or something. I’m not sure. Even from other sources, people have said Salt water is great cleaner, It could have also been pulled on, Probably wait another day, see if tomorrow is the same way. If it is, then I recomend a Doctor, just incase of an Infection Good luck, Hope everything turns out fine :S
