Why doesn't my mom believe in me about my life?

My mom yelled at me because I told her I write music during school so I won’t pass anything if I continue. Then she said wanting 2 be an actress/singer is stupid. I had an audition 2 go 2. I asked my mom if she could take me but she said no because schools more important. She said if I don’t pass she’s gonna make me drop out and stuff what should I do since she doesn’t believe in me.

Well education is extremly important !!! and it is so hard to make it in the music business… I think your mam is just trying to make sure you have every option open to you… What happens in 5 or even 10 years IF music doesn’t work out for you and you decide you want to be a doctor or a lawyer or basically anything at all, well you cant because you will have screwed up your education…You cannot be succesfull in this world without a proper education and I think that is what is really bothering your mam maybe if you kept the music writing untill after school and picked up your grades a bit she would have more faith in you.. Even if you are EXTREMLY talented there is noway you could go anywhere without a proper education. Please think about your future and dont waste your intelligence you will regret it in the long run !! Xo:)

You’re going to have to decide and then figure out HOW to do both. School is a priority right now, but that doesn’t mean you should shelve your dreams, it just means “first things first”.

Show your mom that you can do well in school, and write music on the side…and she’ll support you the whole way.

Its a sad thing that your mother doesn’t support you in what you want to do. She is your mom, mothers want whats best for their kids so in a way she isn’t doing the right thing. I’d hate it if my mom didn’t lemme write down my thoughts and hell no I wouldn’t just put up with it even if its a little harsh do want you want to do, you don’t wanna be that doctor that looked back at what could’ve been all because your mom said no, do you? In a sense though your mom is pointing out that mixing school and your dreams isn’t a good idea. School has much more importance since that is basically the ground work for your dreams. You need to do well in that first to be what you really want to be.
