Why do I get depressed after a fun concert?

On monday I went to selena gomez’s concert and I also met her so I was in tears. In the future, I hope to be like her. But ever since, I’ve been really depressed about my life, like none of that is actually going to happen for me. Why do I keep crying and getting depressed whenever I look at the pictures or even think about it? My birthday is on tuesday and I really hope I feel better by then. Why is this? And will it pass before my birthday? Thanks!! X

Do you remember when you were a little kid? Remember how the day after Christmas felt? Same thing. (assuming you celebrated Christmas, of course).

Also, though, I get the feeling that you long for a “better” lifestyle. Meeting Selena made you feel like your life was that much more mundane, but that’s just because it’s your life, and you see it every day.

Try taking some drama classes with the purpose of being part of a theatre production. Playing a part in a play could really give you the satisfaction of playing the part of the perfomer. Plus, it would allow you to see how much hard work goes into being a performer.

well I get the same way!!! and I have a really good singing voice and I REALLY wanna be famous and soo when I go to a concert I think of me being up there but I don’t know if it will ever happen!!!

I get the same thing after a show its like a tiny vacation from all the crap. Of course its gonna feel like poop in comparison. You should listen to the band at home that should help.

Duh, because it’s over! Just like how, when you go on a fun vacation you’re a bit sad to see that it’s over. Plus the songs might make you think of what you don’t have?

I know exactly how you feel. When I went my very first Jonas brothers concert last year I was absolutley buzzing. I had the best night ever and kept looking up and thinking is this real? I was sooo happy. But when it was over it was all I could think about and I was like awwwh I need to relive that moment. Even now I think of it and the memories are amazing. You just have to think that you’ll always have the memories of that concert and the pics are a good thing - you should look at them, you was there and they are a reminder of the awesome time you had and you’re gonna have them forever. Thats a happy thing, right?
