Who thinks girls are...
much more personal in matters where it concerns two or more girls whereas men are not that personal in MEN problems??Just asking from experience!
Women are just more likely to open up and ask other’s for help with their problems, while men usually would rather keep it inside and not let everyone know what’s going on with them. It’s mainly the stereotype that men are supposed to be the tougher and less emotional of the sexes that causes this. They are afraid that if they open up about their feelings it will demasculinize them.
Generally speaking, I think that’s one of their differences in make-up or reflective to a degree of how they were raised.
When my male friends have a problem they tend to be rather open about it. The stereotype with girls is that of them being secretive. Typically girls feel more comfortable talking to close (and female) friends about their problems. Men tend to talk about their issues more openly because they are more comfortable in that regard. It’s just the level of pain which is often hidden (so that their masculinity is not questioned).
I don’t agree with the stereotypes because my social life has been evidence enough that all people are different in this regard. However, in answer to the question I agree that (from experience) it is girls who tend to close up a bit and be less comfortable about telling people about their problems. My male friends and I find it easy to talk about issues that we have and all. My female friends tend to be more cautious and less comfortable with opening up. These days obviously women have been empowered and they too have that sense (which is so often confused for “masculinity”) that talking about their problems makes them seem weak. Of course I can’t speak for everybody, but from what I have experienced, I’d have to say that girls don’t open up as much as guys do.
