How did he get over me so fast?

So I was going out with this guy who shall remain nameless, when one day while he was on a mission trip he called to tell me that he liked his ex again but he still really liked me. He hadn’t planned on breaking up with me, but we got inot a fight and one thing lead to another and he dunped me. We had only gone out for 2 weeks, but we had liked eachother for the entire school year and he said that he loved me and was 101 percent commited to making our relationship work. We were pretty good friends before, but now he isn’t talking to me even though its been a month since we broke up. I still want him, does that make me an idiot? He acts like he’s over me but he isn’t returning my calls. i just want to get over it, and i thaought i was because i don’t cry about it anymore, but i still have feelings for him. how and why did he get over me so fast? and why am i being avoided???

He might have gotten over you so fast because you were only together for two weeks. That’s an incredibly short relationship, even if he did you like for some months before that.

Some people just get over breakups quickly. Some people are emotional, others are not.

He could be avoiding you if you are more emotional than he is. When I broke up with someone a lot more emotional than I am, we could have stayed friends except for the fact that I just could not deal with his begging and crying all of the time. So I just began to ignore him altogether.

Hi there,

No, that doesn’t make you an idiot. You are a great person. You were expressing your feelings. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Now, to the facts. So he is ignoring… you have to realize that he wants it OVER, and when it is OVER, it is OVER. Huggles for you dear, but you will have trudge through that old road of ‘MOVING ON’. When you have moved on and feel you can handle talking to him without having to bring up those feelings again, perhaps he sees some light and establish a renewed friendship with you.

Take care misskatherinemary, i hope you success in your recovery.
