Whats up with the DOB? are you trying to have less customers?

An admin like Colleen could answer this more thoroughly but I think it’s very important to know people’s age on here.
I don’t think it’s a privacy issue rather a social one.
For example: If you make any friends, your conversations with adults could be much different than ones you may have with minors as well as things you may have in common.
Sometimes the “kids” on here may have a problem they need advice on, and as adults we should be very responsible and use good and sometimes “different” judgement if we choose to try and help them because their options are different than say someone my age.
Also, I think there is a minimum age to be a member. Click on “about’ at the bottom of the screen and it may talk about this.
Oops, I guess it doesn’t but nonetheless there is good reason for the rules concerning age. Sit tight and your question will be answered.
The age factor enforces our policy - since you need to be 13 to have an account here, we remove the liability of younger members joining because they’ve agreed to a contract under false pretences.
It also identifies the maturity of a member, so that some mature content doesn’t get filtered onto a 13-year-old’s profile page.
Don’t blame us - we’re just covering our asses in a legal sense, and nobody is forcing you to stay.
Why would the DOB be a problem? Just chat with people your age on here.
