What should I do with my bulimia?

I’ve been bulimic for just over a year now because so much has happened in my life. I was seeing a woman at a mental health team but im not anymore because I’ve moved in with my dad and its been so much better recently because I’ve felt happy but all my thoughts are starting to come back and I dont know what to do about them. I suppose im more of a purging anorexic because I very rarely binge but at the moment with the thoughts coming back im getting closer and closer to going going back to old ways, I havent thrown up for 9days and I know I will do tomorrow, either that or I wont eat all day, I can feel the weight piling back on! What should I do??? please help! thx xx

Please, please don’t do it anymore… That must be torture! I’m so sorry.

There are other ways to cope with what you’re dealing with.. Hellaballou, I’m always here if you need some one to talk to.

Please just buy healthy food, and start a regular workout routine… At first it may be hard, but after a while you’ll fall into routine.

I really hope you can stop and realize you are killing yourself faster than need be. If anything else keep pictures of the effects of bulemia and annorexia on a person’s body. The throat holes, rotting teeth as far as bulemia goes, and annorexia has the super gross “bones popping out” effect and leads to many heart problems. Plus, you grow facial hair… For your body trying to compensate the lack of body mass. It’s trying to keep itself warm because you’re taking away it’s strength. You have long term heart problems, and your other organs get eaten by your body. Last to go is your brain, then you’re dead. And your hair thins.. Personally, if I saw what I could do to myself in that light, I’d be scared-shieteless. Please just think about yourself. I’m positive you’re a smart person who can think this out. Your LIFE is worth a lot more than a few POUNDS.

You HAVE to eat. Eat like average and don’t worry about your weight. And if your weight starts coming back don’t throw up or anything like that, just work out. Working out is healthier in many ways. And it’s not that bad. All you have to do is crunches and such as a beginner then work yourself up and you can start yoga. Before you ever think of becoming an anorexic/bulimic, remember the consequences of that. If you’re a bulimic, you’ll get bad teeth because of the stomach acid burning away your gums and such. And if you’re an anorexic soon your chest bones are going to be seeable. And truthfully, I think that’s disgusting. And a lot of people aren’t attracted to that. Just think of the consequences and kick yourself into working out and eatting properly. As long as you remain focused you can do anything. Believe in yourself, even though that sounds really crummy.

freak, I dunno. was counseling working before? if it was, then start going back to it. if you can’t afford it, try to look back on the things you learned. what tricks did they teach you to cope with it? try to re-implement them into your life. tell your dad you’re slipping back into your old ways, and I’m sure he’d be willing to hang out with you after you eat. if he’s with you, you can’t exactly excuse yourself and go puke. what’s the time frame for bulimia? it’s probably useless to puke if you wait more than a half hour after you eat, right? hang out with your dad (or your friends, provided they aren’t bulimec as well,) for an hour after each meal. it’ll be a lot of work, but it WILL WORK. good luck with that.
